The article on the marathon distance and its origin was interesting, but
your readers should know that the /official distance per Olympic rules/
for the Olympic marathon is 42.195 km. While it is correct to say that
the original source of the distance standard was the old "26 miles, 385
yards", old English standards are no longer used in track and field.
You would be doing us all a favor by recognizing this.
