Showing the jockey's weight in kilograms in the program doesn't seem like a big 
deal.  For marking the track, a photo in the article makes clear that they will 
just approximate the furlong as 200 m and ignore the 1.168 m/furlong 
discrepancy.  As a result, I assume the metric markers are NOT accurate enough 
for timing and comparing to the horse's performance on a real, metric track.
