Hello all: As many of you know, I work for a VERY large global pharmaceutical company with North American headquarters here in South San Francisco, CA.
I thought many on this list might find it interesting to know that a lot of new biotech buildings are designed and built in modules, and shipped to the site. This link shows a 11,400m² facility designed in metric - and shipped onsite. http://www.pharmaceutical-technology.com/contractors/eng_services/pharmadule/pharmadule1.html I'm not sure why this company would describe their area in ft2? http://www.pharmaceutical-technology.com/contractors/eng_services/pharmadule/pharmadule3.html These are the tops of 20,000 L bioreactor vessels (they are 3-stories tall!)
