I talked to Mr. Scheck for quite a while and we talked a lot about how the US Construction Industry failed at conversion a few years back and how we at NYDOT as many other states, had to go back to US Customary (WOMBAT). I saw nothing about that, only my Maybelline observation. I was disappointed the article did not delve more into the whole issue of why the US is so slow in converting. It would have been nice to see an objective article about the obstacles we have faced, politically, culturally etc.
