Dear New York State Residents,

Please help!

The State of New York has not yet adopted the 1999 amendment to the Uniform 
Packaging and Labeling Regulation (UPLR) (NIST Handbook 130, 2013, p. 89, Sec. 
11.33) that permits optional metric-only labeling of certain consumer products 
not regulated by federal law.   Adoption of this UPLR amendment is vital to 
making the argument to the Congress that the federal Fair Packaging and 
Labeling Act should be amended likewise to allow the metric-only option 
nationally.
