This is very disheartening- Educators are on the front line, without their influence and teaching another generation of children will believe that the metric system is irreverent. Admitting to not teaching something because the Teacher does not understand and/or value it- says quite a bit about the American educational system. We need to make a concerted effort to educate our Educators..
