Rainfall is one example – another is seed and fertilizer measurement – 50 kg/ha
is the same as 5 tonnes/km^2 or if you are working in your back garden, 5 g/m^2
(try doing that with square feet, acres, square miles, ounces, pounds and tons).

Subject: [USMA:52985] Si and Agriculture examples

Hello Everyone:

I am writing an article about the benefits of using SI units in Agriculture. I
need concrete, real world examples of easy calculations such water needed per
square meter or any other interesting, persuasive examples.

I know I have seen many examples associated with different topics.

Many thanks,

Bridget
