Gene: I think we are going to have to write her directly on the FPLA and metrication in general. The Secretary of Commerce might not even know her department is in charge of weights and measures. I think I wrote her years ago when she was on an advisory board for a government committee in Chicago, but I think it will take a concerted effort directly to her office to get her to comprehend the importance of measurement to international trade (and increased US exports).
