I beg to differ. I find the kelvin value indispensible in my purchase of CFLs, and I much prefer the "Daylight" kind for indoor use. Those over 40 begin to suffer presbyopia, when the pupil does not contract as much as in youth. The main problem is that reading becomes difficult unless the page is brightly illuminated as with the "Daylight" variety. The softer, yellowish light is virtually useless to try to read by. If the lighting is "Daylight," I don't need glasses to read.
