A subordinate for Oregon Representative Kevin Cameron -
https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/cameron - responded to my request
for an update to LC44 which is the legislation I introduced a while
back (mentioned in one of our recent newsletters) that would use
Hawaii HB36 as a model for Oregon. I had asked if LC44 is available
on-line and they said no (I had tried internet search for LC44 with no
results). Mention of Dexter below is a reference to Dexter Johnson
whose phone number is 503-986-1243. I am cautiously optimistic about
the possibility that Oregon would adopt sweeping measurement reform,
but I am not holding my breath. I most certainly intend to update you
with any developments and share with you the draft of the legislative
concept as soon as I receive it in the next few weeks.

David,
I spoke with Dexter and he said that he is working on this legislative
concept now and should have a draft in the next few weeks. As soon as
we receive something I will be sure to forward it on to you for your
review.
Sincerely,
Denyc Boles
