I’m in South Africa and notice there are foreign versions of popular US magazines that are 100% SI, all published in South Africa.
Popular Mechanics has a South African edition which has many of the articles the US version has, except they are all SI. The email address is www.popularmechanics.co.za or ramsaymedia.co.za, email: [email protected] Africa Geographic is similar to National Geographic www.africa-geographic.com except all SI. I’ve also seen one called Australian Geographic. Getaway magazine on travel, email [email protected] Most of these magazines are published by Ramsay Son & Parker in South Africa. After 30 years of complaining to US magazines, it might be time to subscribe online with an offshore magazine that includes SI. The International Herald Tribune is now the International New York Times, unfortunately it’s not 100% SI, many articles seem to be US customary only, they must be trying to appeal to traveling US citizens and not foreign nationals. This is an excellent newspaper ruined by the almost exclusive use of US customary units. With a bit of research there are probably many more magazines with total SI content. Mike Payne
