I respond to these things all the time. Practically every day I get an email or two from the President or some political campaign asking my opinion about this or that. I think all they really want is money. I have written hundreds of letters to my congressmen and senators over the last 40 years about the metric system and they all get ignored. Lately I even concentrated on sending advice or input to specific Congressmen or Senators who have a reputation for being "progressive" I even stressed just one political goal, a simple, achievable goal, of adding 20 words to the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act to make metric only package labeling legal in the USA. No response even from those who think they are "progressive" How progressive can you be if you still use a 16th Century measuring system? Anyway, I think they are all about fund-raising and have really nothing to do with actually seeking input from constituents. Mark Henschel
