Not really I didn’t get into any conversations with anyone that involved units,
mine were just observations of signs, TV news, newspapers, things like that.

I had a great time and got a great priceline.com rate for $92 at a 4 star hotel
which was valued at $300 if I had made a direct reservation.

Great to hear that, Howard.

Did you pick up on which units people were using in their conversations in
various contexts (temperature, short and long distances, personal height and
weight, etc.)?

Sounds like you had a nice trip, too. :-)

Ezra

Wow I was in Toronto and saw very little if any US Customary, it was all
metric. I saw ad's and signs and products metrically only labeled. There is a
lot of construction and the newspapers talked about square meters and square
hectares of new space being added. I didn't check the real estate ad's though.

IKEA was doing a gimmick thing in Eaton Center. Push a button get a prize: A
metric only tape measure with IKEA specific measurements on it for some of
their products.

Too me awhile but I changed my odometer to km for the entire trip, it felt
great.

Amazingly Canada's wonderland has height restrictions in inches only, which I
find amazing for a supposedly metric country
