I have certainly seen many clocks and watches with the number 13-24 on either the inner or the outer dial, but never using larger digits than the digits used for 1 to 12. The designer of this watch clearly had the view that the wearer could tell the time by the position of the hands during the morning, but would appreciate a prompt for the afternoon/evening period.
There are a number of 24 hour analogue clocks around - one of the most famous dates from the 1490's (See https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:St_Marks_Venice_Clock.jpg). -----Original Message----- From: USMA [mailto:usma-boun...@colostate.edu] On Behalf Of Paul Trusten Sent: 19 March 2016 19:53 To: Goodyear Peter Subject: [USMA 129] 24-hour outer-dial wristwatch Not relevant to U.S. metrication, but I never saw a warch with the hours 13 through 24 on the outer dial: http://www.wristwatch.com/products/casio-unisexs-casual-classic-watch-mq24-9b?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=11470529926&gclid=COGd4ZC0zcsCFQIcaQodSsgHBw _______________________________________________ USMA mailing list USMA@colostate.edu https://lists.colostate.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/usma _______________________________________________ USMA mailing list USMA@colostate.edu https://lists.colostate.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/usma
