Congressmen don't care about SI, the new president won't care, and remember
what happened to Lincoln Chaffee. No elected politician will touch it.

The only way it will happen is when people gradually get used to SI because of
use of metric in the market place, so the only hope of any legislative progress
would be if the FPLA adopts the metric only labelling option and/or the TTB
adopts of a similar proposal I have submitted to them. If you must send
letters, send them there.

Not a chance anything will change. Sad to say but true.

So is anyone here at all even a bit more hopeful that there might be some
forward metric movement in the US with a new (purportedly more progressive)
administration?
I've already got a letter ready to send out on the 26th of January :P
Hope everybody here does the same!!
