Credit cards have to be a standard size or they won't fit into various machines and wallets. I measured a few, and they averaged 85.52 mm by 54.20 mm, with a width times height area of 4635 mm². That's less than the 4800 mm² claimed by Wells Fargo, and my measurement doesn't take the rounded corners into account, which reduces the area further. It sounds like they may already be exaggerating the size of their credit card.
