Reading the news on apnews.com about this very tall gentleman who has unfortunately died. While I appreciate the inclusion of SI, whoever wrote this has no idea centimetres and metres are the same unit. And 8.33 inches is probably a conversion. He definitely was a very tall dude!
"Vovkovinskiy came to the Mayo Clinic in 1989 as a child seeking treatment. A tumor pressing against his pituitary gland caused it to secrete abnormal levels of growth hormone. He grew to become the tallest man in the U.S. at 7 feet, 8.33 inches (2 meters, 34.5 centimeters) and ended up staying in Rochester". https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fapnews.com%2Farticle%2FAmericas-tallest-man-Igor-Vovkovinskiy-3947bf2c16804b58c778b60ac222fba5&data=04%7C01%7Cusma%40lists.colostate.edu%7C2813d07e158f49f4a16608d9679e5031%7Cafb58802ff7a4bb1ab21367ff2ecfc8b%7C0%7C0%7C637654752624482584%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=oKADv0BEM5gmS3OD0UeqHzt6w7I1NbBc%2FXe3wYwj6LY%3D&reserved=0 <https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fapnews.com%2Farticle%2FAmericas-tallest-man-Igor-Vovkovinskiy-3947bf2c16804b58c778b60ac222fba5&data=04%7C01%7Cusma%40lists.colostate.edu%7C2813d07e158f49f4a16608d9679e5031%7Cafb58802ff7a4bb1ab21367ff2ecfc8b%7C0%7C0%7C637654752624482584%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=oKADv0BEM5gmS3OD0UeqHzt6w7I1NbBc%2FXe3wYwj6LY%3D&reserved=0> Mike Payne
