It seems that Boris Johnson is getting more pushback than he expected
about his proposal to make non-metric units optional again. It turns out
that most Britishers are quite happy with metric units.

As I have writen in my Metric Today column before, once people become used
to metric units in daily life, they don't want to go back.

Now the British architects are fighting back, branding the optional metric
proposal "stupid." As it is: stupid.
