I decided to affirm Jim Walsh's use of Celsius without conversions.

Warming winters are part of a longer trend, Liess said. Results of a study
published last year indicate that Minnesota's future climate is likely to be
significantly warmer than it was near the end of the 20th century. Over
northern and central Minnesota, winters and summers are expected to be up to 6
and 4 degrees Celsius warmer, respectively, near the end of the 21st century.

Subject: Yea Metric!

Jim,

THANK YOU for citing projections for warmer winters in CELSIUS and without the
very distracting equivalents to the old Fahrenheit temperature scale! (Sunday,
July 07)

International efforts to fight the climate crisis have exposed Americans to
Celsius by using the Celsius scale to gauge our slide deeper into a climate
calamity with the international goal to keep global warming to less than 1.5
deg C. 95% of the world's population use Celsius to measure temperatures.
With your further exposure, perhaps American will also learn how much more
relevant the Celsius scale is to our perception of temperature -- 0 deg C for
freezing, 100 deb C for water boiling point.

Thanks again for helping your readers to move to the more rational metric
measurement system.

John
