Digital ones tend to be in PSI. I can remember if they can be switched.

Not sure petrol fore courts can as I remember a lady having issues with her
German car

Tyre pressure gauges in the UK are in bars/ psi. We have two cars on our drive.
The sticker for tyre pressures for one of them is in bars/psi and for the other
in kPa/psi.

WhenI I was working in Germany, I noticed that tyre pressure gauges were in kPa.

My father owned a chain of tyre fitters across the uk.

With is mm inside diameter inches and the a ratio for profile.

Air pressure was always psi

Then there’s tracking and balancing.

Balancing used weights in grams.

I think there has been a compromise between the EU and the US on standardizing
worldwide Wheel Rim diameter in inches to fit tyres that have a height and
width in millimetres. But you notice with screens, the actual size is
millimetres.

The use of inches for screen and projector size is universal.
