I don't think you are using gnuradio, So CCd usrp-users

Take small steps first.
First step:
* Control the USRP via a host PC.
* Generate TX samples in the FPGA board, with USRP as destination
* Instruct the USRP to send RX samples to the FPGA board
http://files.ettus.com/uhd_docs/manual/html/usrp2.html#alternative-stream-destination
Next step is to replace the host PC with something, I suppose you have 3
options.
1) run linux on the FPGA board (if possible)
2) perhaps a small embedded device that runs linux on the network
Example: http://www.gumstix.com/
3) generate the USRP control packets on the FPGA board

Given the above options, using some kind of embedded linux means you do
not have to replicate UHD for control operations. I believe that it is
simpler to run UHD natively on an embedded device, than to replicate the
functionality.

The control protocol can be seen here:
See host/lib/usrp/usrp2/usrp2_iface.cpp
and firmware/zpu/apps/txrx_uhd.c
The data protocol is VITA49.
It would be helpful to observe packets with wireshark.

Hi,
With the recent release of uhd driver, it is possible to stream date to a
network location.
Does this mean that we can use a network hard drive to stream/record data?
Can anyone recommend an example system for this purpose?
I have eight USRP N210s. Can I connect them to eight different network hard
drives through a switch to store at the maximum data rate?
Thanks,
Khalid.

Only if you can convince your NAS to speak the VRT-inside-UDP protocol
that the N210 "speaks". But in principle, yes.

Hi there,
I have some Problems with the new WBX Boards (Rev. 3.0) on the usrp2. I
switched to the new version of uhd 3.3.2 because the WBX Board with the older
version doesn't working correct. With the new version the "probe" example does
work.
I also switched to version 3.4.0 to solve the followed problem without success.
So I try to set the RX Antenna and it throw an "Acces Violation" exception.
When I ask "get_rx_antennas" I get an empty vector. When I asked
"get_rx_antenna" I get the silly character bits 0x0c
Set the frequency, bandwidth and gain does work without any problems.
Thanks for your reply

Sounds like there is something broken when trying to read one of the
eeprom on the daughterboard. Can you install the latest UHD and post the
output of uhd_usrp_probe?
