Thank you, that works really well.

Is the Ettus 4.0 Live USB Stick available? If so, where is the image? I am
not finding the hardware stick available to purchase anymore. I think there
was note that 4.0 was scheduled for March of this year but I have not seen
anything about it. What is or will be the base OS and version for this
release? The display goes blank during boot on 3.0 Ettus stick on my new XPS15
9560 (i7-7700HQ) laptop with 4K touch display but booted ok on the old Toshiba
R830 Laptop. I also need a more recent FPGA image than on the 3.0 stick for
recent SoDa Radio features. I have a B200 USRP.

There has been a Gnuradio Live USB stick image available for quite some
time:

https://www.gnuradio.org/blog/using-gnu-radio-live-sdr-environment/

I don't *think* there are plans to keep updating the Ettus Live image,
but perhaps someone from R&D will chime in later or tomorrow.

Hello Eric:

A new version of the the Ettus Research Live SDR Environment will be
available soon. The new version will be based on Ubuntu 16.04.2 and will
include the latest versions of UHD and GNU Radio. We are no longer offering
for sale a USB drive with the live image pre-loaded, but the images
themselves will be available as a free download from our website. You can
then write the images onto any USB flash drive and boot from it.

In the meantime, as Marcus suggested, I would suggest using the Live SDR
Environment from the GNU Radio Project, which is very similar and
functionally equivalent to the one from Ettus.

https://wiki.gnuradio.org/index.php/GNU_Radio_Live_SDR_Environment

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Maybe it is that there is no need for a usb stick image.
Three years ago, installing gnuradio and creating a usb stick with it
was difficult, but today it is included in ubuntu and installing ubuntu
in a usb stick is straightforward: just launch the install and
-select the usb "hard disk" as /
-select no swap partition
-once installed, edit /etc/fstab and add the option "noatime" to the /
mount point
-install gnuradio: apt install gnuradio

regards

Hello all,
I want to read the data by collecting the information from the satellite.
So far i recorded some samples but i can't able to read it. So i tried to
create a block for reading the data in a document file. But it seems to be
be difficult while creating a new block using OOT module and i am not
familiar about the OOT modules creation. If anybody already did reading
block or created OOT block for reading please notify me how to create the
reading OOT block.

Best Regards,
M. Jahnavendra

Hello M. Jahavendra,

I recommend reading the GNU Radio tutorial on creating blocks. It covers
the basics of getting started.
https://wiki.gnuradio.org/index.php/Guided_Tutorial_GNU_Radio_in_Python#3.2._Where_Do_Blocks_Come_From.3F

For additional guidance I recommend joining the GNU Radio mailing list and
asking questions there. The USRP users mailing list is a great place for
any UHD or USRP questions, but for general GNU Radio questions you'll find
more people around and able to answer on the GNU Radio list.
https://wiki.gnuradio.org/index.php/MailingLists

Regards,
Derek
