This seems to be the case - but the question is how to restore this behaviour after setting it to a specific value? The reason it is being set, is I'm trying to determine the min/max rx sample rate - and on the b210, the values returned by get_rx_rates() depend on what master clock is set. So I set it to min/max before returning it to automatic. Perhaps there's a better way to do that?
