General Motors? If so, why have they no plans to import the Chevvy Niva unless, just perhaps, it could be sold under the Daewoo flag. The Kalina is an AvtoVaz car and will no doubt be for sale in Europe through the Lada dealerships still in existence. It may look nice and modern but one can almost guarantee that the quality standards that were so lacking in the Riva, Niva and Samara have not moved forward. Why else do the Russians think more of buying second hand West European cars than their own home built? If you want to buy a Kalina, check the Lada dealerships in Germany, Franc or wherever to see if they are for sale. If they are, have a weekend 'sur le continent' and check it out in person.
