What manpage is meant? `util-linux-ng-2.13.1-rc2/mount/mount.8', at least part of it describing `mode=' option in "Mount options for iso9660" section, says nothing about non- regular files, let alone directory files, explicitly. It is at least ambiguous when says about simply "files", which type is not necessarily regular.
