Very interesting. When I ran the CD-ROM writing software (cdrecord,
cdrado with the x frontend xcdroast) it didn't see any CD's at all. When
I did as described below it saw the one drive. The HOWTO told me to do
this - I don't have gcombust on my system.
Per the HOWTO the reason to make everything SCSI is for compatability -
all the software can be written one way for one type of drive. This HOWTO
is from 9/1999 so in the life of computers it is quite old.
I guess it's back to the HOWTO's.
SO anyone else out there - how are you coping CD's?
