I'm new to this laptop thing. I got my hands on a used laptop for the duration of the semester to do a project in cs460. It's a Dell Latitude CPi (~300MHz) and it works great except the battery is completely worthless. I've surfed around a bit and it looks like I could get one on ebay for about $40-60 including shipping, and new ones are a nudge over $100. Alas, I don't have that kind of money, especially since I won't be keeping the laptop. But it's a sad thing to be tethered to a power cord especially since I'll be using wireless.
Anyone know where I can get a functional (not necessarily good...) battery for quite cheap, or have one I can borrow? -- Hans Fugal | De gustibus non disputandum est. http://hans.fugal.net/ | Debian, vim, mutt, ruby, text, gpg http://gdmxml.fugal.net/ | WindowMaker, gaim, UTF-8, RISC, JS Bach --------------------------------------------------------------------- GnuPG Fingerprint: 6940 87C5 6610 567F 1E95 CB5E FC98 E8CD E0AA D460 ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://phantom.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list
