A good front end for this is LinNeighborhood [1].
Maybe someone else can expound on the configuration of
samba stuff.

If you want to do it the easy way, just download
apt-rpm [2], and as root type:
'rpm -i apt-0.5.4cnc9-fr1.i386.rpm'
in the directory that this file is in.
Now type:
'apt-get update'
'apt-get upgrade'
'apt-get install mplayer'
Now you have mplayer. (log out of root now). Mplayer
has codecs for just about every multimedia format
known to mankind.
You can either use the command line to start it:
'mplayer example.mpeg'
or lauch it's graphical version, gmplayer: The Red
Hat menu has a gmplayer button under extras > sound &
video.
OK, so maybe this isn't the easiest way, but now you
have apt-get. It is the coolest way using Red Hat :-)
