Hi all,
Here's my first gentoo problem that I haven't been able to google an
answer for.
After completing the steps inside the chroot env (grub, etc) I rebooted
into the new kernel/system that I just setup. I logged in and tried to
modify /etc/fstab thus:
spider root # nano /etc/fstab
Error opening terminal: linux.
spider root #
Okay?!? So I google for a bunch of stuff on google and gentoo, but I
can't find anything.
My guess is something to do with glib/glibc or another base package,
because I installed tcsh to see if the same thing would happen:
spider root # tcsh
tcsh: No entry for terminal type "linux"
tcsh: using dumb terminal settings.
#
So, it wasn't bash...Must be a base package or the kernel. Any ideas? I
have no idea where to go to from here.
Thanks,
Mark
