        All this talk about hyperthreading raises a question in my mind.  If
I have a Pentium 4 3GHz with hyperthreading disabled, does that mean it
basically runs at the speed of a 1.5GHz pentium?

P.S.  Maybe a detailed explanation of the new Intel hyperthreading and
how it works would help me understand.  I read something about how it
makes it so your CPU is like two virtual CPUs, but how does it really
work?
