As some of you know, I've been running Windows exclusively since school got out in Apr. I've been waiting to get an additional hard drive to install Red Hat on. Anyway, the point of all this is that I got a hold of a 6GB harddrive and a removable module to put it in. When I hot swap it in windows the drive works perfectly, I've formatted it and written to it. When I try to boot the Red Hat install discs, or just reboot, I get a warning screen that says the device in the module bay is unrecognizable and that I should make sure it's firmly pressed into the bay and reboot, which I've done several times. Anyone have this problem before or have any ideas on what I should do? I'd hate to have to stay with Windows because I couldn't install on my new hard drive.
It's an Inspiron 8200 by the way, putting a 6 GB Toshiba drive in the module bay.
Thanks,
Ryan
