If winaxe is just an Xserver, then I really must recommend Cygwin/XFree86. It's a darn fine Xserver, ssh and all, and it's Free.

I have cygwin, I didn't know that it could do what winaxe can. How do you
login to the server using ssh and then starting xwindows?

Sorry, people I understand telnet is hackable, however, I am

investigating a

program called "winaxe" I am looking at that program and that is all.
Don't worry I am behind a server and a firewall, and there is nothing on

the

machine, so it doesn't matter really. Would anyone be familiar with

winaxe?

Can it be run with ssh?

Looking at the information on their site, it would seem that WinaXe and associated products are just like Cygwin, except that they're commercial, proprietary software [audience boos]. Is there something

unique

about WinaXe that would prevent you from replacing it with Cygwin? If
so, then it appears that WinaXe+ includes SSH support. For another $20,
of course. If not, forget WinaXe and get Cygwin. There are quite a few
people in the group who are pretty familiar with it.
