Yes, in fact multiple sources is a good thing. (As long as they don't
conflict. Thankfully, the gstreamer team and freshrpms decided to play
nice recently.) For Java development, apt-get install ant sure is nice.

Here's my /etc/apt/sources.list:

# GStreamer
rpm http://gstreamer.net/releases/redhat/ redhat-9-i386 deps redhat
rpm-src http://gstreamer.net/releases/redhat/ redhat-9-i386 deps redhat

# Red Hat Linux 9
rpm http://ayo.freshrpms.net redhat/9/i386 os updates freshrpms
rpm-src http://ayo.freshrpms.net redhat/9/i386 os updates freshrpms

# JPackage
rpm ftp://us.dl.sf.net/pub/sourceforge/jpackage/direct_download
1.5/generic free
rpm-src ftp://us.dl.sf.net/pub/sourceforge/jpackage/direct_download
1.5/generic free non-free
rpm ftp://us.dl.sf.net/pub/sourceforge/jpackage/direct_download
1.5/redhat-9 free
