I'm looking for a time and billing application for my consulting
work.
I would prefer something open source, or at least free as in pizza,
but I'd be willing to consider an inexpensive shareware or commercial
product if need be.
I need a system that can manage:
Multiple developers
Multiple clients
Multiple projects per client
Multiple categories of work (development, project management, DBA,
system administration, etc) per project
Time spent on internal and miscellaneous tasks
A "notes" field for each time entry
Periodic invoice creation (preferably a nice-looking PDF) per
client, with ability to set how often the invoice is created.
One obvious solution would be to write it myself, but it seems to me
that time and billing is a solved problem, and I should be able to
find something already in existence that does what I need.
Can anyone here recommend an application?
