I had a similar problem before when the watchdog card on my
sparc went bad. I had to end up switching the motherboard (no one
I talked to could figure it out either).
I would try to install debian to see if it's a hardware problem or if
it's just a problem with openbsd (by the mouth of two or three operating
systems).
