yeah, I did.  I still don't see what the problem is.  If I open up the
ports for samba (just an example) and start shorewall, no other machine
can see the samba mounts and  I can't see the other local machines.  I
turn shorewall off and everything is happy again.  Don't sweat it, I'll
figure it out sooner or later.
