I must admit, to my shame, that I got Qwest by MSN DSL (DSL 1000 modem). I didn't have the extra $99 to choose another ISP and now I'm stuck. Anybody out there knows a way to use my connection from Linux (directly)? I know I could Share my connection from a Windows machine but there goes the security/stability through the window, pun intended. Any ideas/pointers?
Some guy wrote a web page about it (it's offline, but Google cache saves the day):

Unfortunately the modem he has is not the Cisco 678 mentioned in this article. It's probably the silly MSN modem with the butterfly on it. These use PPPoE (er PPPoA) and it may be possible to set it up, but I really wouldn't know for sure.
