This has already been answered, but FWIW I don't think it has anything
to do with your version of vim but rather your (and/or your system's)
vimrc. I'd sooner blame how distros have changed over the past two
years. AFAIK this is and has been vim's default. (but I could be wrong -
no research has been done). I use wildmode=3Dlist:longest in my .vimrc.
