My favorite GUI Toolkit is stdio.  It's amazingly simple to design your
GUI, especially if you use the vi designer tool, which really improves
the whole process.  It's also very efficient with screen real-estate.
The API documentation is marvelous, and it is more portable than any of
the other toolkits I have come across.

The only tip I have is to be careful to properly allocate your buffers,
but that generally isn't hard to do.  Just make sure you use the
n-versions of all of the functions.

Some users may feel that stdio is a little less attractive than some of
the competing toolkits, but such users are negligible.  There may be a
large number of them, but I hate them all and don't see any problem with
ignoring them.
