In preparation for the question and answer session, Evan should post a few words about said girl to the list. He should also be required at the next UUG meeting to report on his progress towards teaching her that UUG is not an acronym standing for, "That Stupid Computer Club." By the way, in the several posts we've had so far, we have flagrantly broken many of the rules advocated by the feminazi who wrote the Encourage Women in Linux HOWTO. For example, we've told sexist jokes. Also we've used the word feminazi. But a good many of us are doing wonderfully with point 3.7. Let's keep up the good work! (3.7. Don't make sexual advances towards women). But in all seriousness, I think it's horribly hypocritical of the doc writer to spend page after page talking about how Linux people should treat women as equals who are just as capable as men, etc., etc. and then she goes on in 3.19 and 3.20 to advocate dumbing down meetings and talking about social issues. She should pick her argument and stick to it. Though many of her points are very valid. -- Andrew McNabb http://www.mcnabbs.org/andrew/ PGP Fingerprint: 8A17 B57C 6879 1863 DE55 8012 AB4D 6098 8826 6868
