Now that's some tasty, crispy, deep-fried sarcasm - right on Jordy. Perhaps there should be a comprehensive review process for applicants who desire list removal to make unsubscription expectations a little more clear. "Don't expect me to ever come back" seems to be a prevalent theme. This ought to be an easy psych paper for somebody.
example: Fear of further perceived rejection in a community of shared interests drives the individual who feels betrayed by a lack of expression of conformity to his logic to post one last egocentric message in an effort to garner praise or even negative attention. The thought of the community continuing without his participation, even if said participation is mostly limited to reading of list posts, is difficult to bear. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Jordan M. We really don't need to hear about it. (Talk about off topic.) BTW: I'm sick and tired of people publicly unsubscribing, so I'm out... Don't expect me to ever come back... But if (by virtue of my infinite grace) I do come back, I hope that I will receive better treatment, whereby in some small degree, you unworthy and slothful creatures will merit my beneficence. Until then, shame on you off-topic, idolatrous posters! I warn you, as long as you kneel to the gods of off-topicness, my wrath will be poured upon you like unquenchable, blistering FLAME! (Consider yourselves flamed.) Jordy BTW: I was joking just now. ------------------------------------------------------ Dave Wrote: > And since I've got the floor, as it were, am I the only one that wonders > what kind of ego you must need to think that a mailing list needs an > announcement that you're leaving and an explanation as to why? > > Puhleeeeze. > Dave ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://uug.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list ____________________ BYU Unix Users Group http://uug.byu.edu/ ___________________________________________________________________ List Info: http://uug.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/uug-list
