An interesting fact is that the first pictures returned by viking on Mars showed a redish plain scattered with bolders and a nice blue sky. Very quickly NASA started only releasing images where the sky had taken on a reddish hue, since that's what people expected and I think they were afraid of being accused of faking it all. In fact, on picture I saw from viking looked an awful lot like the arizona desert on a nice clear day. http://mars-news.de/color/blue.html.en http://mars-news.de/life/ http://www.ominous-valve.com/martian_sky.html > > Josh Coates > http://www.jcoates.org > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Bryan Murdock > Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 3:55 PM > To: BYU Unix Users Group > Subject: Re: [uug] Copyright > > > On Mon, 14 Feb 2005 13:59:53 -0700, Josh Coates <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > >How about your analogy? :) > > > > lol - that was great. > > > > > I am convinced that most analogies are like Newtonian physics -- > > > oversimplified and incomplete. > > > > good enough to get us to the moon! ;-) > > Actually, skeptics argue that the moon landing was all faked. > > :-) > > Bryan > > -------------------- > BYU Unix Users Group > http://uug.byu.edu/ > > The opinions expressed in this message are the responsibility of their > author.
