I'm working with a Dell Precision 370, which has a 3com 3CR990 fiber
NIC. I can't seem to get the driver to work. I am running Debian with
a 2.6.8 kernel (I've also tried 2.6.11 and 2.4.27). Here is the output
from 'lspci -v':
0000:04:01.0 Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation 3CR990-FX-95/97/95
[Typhon Fiber] (rev 02)
Subsystem: 3Com Corporation 3CR990-FX-97 [Typhoon Fiber 168-bit]
Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 201
I/O ports at dc80 [size=128]
Memory at dcdc0000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256K]
Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 2
When I run 'modprobe typhoon', I get an error that reports that it
"cannot put adapter to sleep", and "probe of 0000:04:01.0 failed with
error -5". I've googled around and haven't gotten anywhere. Any help
is appreciated.
