I know the Canon powershot models can host extra lense.  Basically
around the lense is a ring with a little button. you press the button
and rotate the ring and it comes off, revealing some threads.  Then you
screw on adapter tubes and mount the lenses to that.  Lense kits vary in
price and quality and vendor.  Just a sampling can be found at:
