How about that! Two esr links in as many minutes (well, not quite). If any are unfamiliar with his writings, you should probably take a good look at his page. There are several excellent hacker-writers (Paul Graham (created the first ASP which is now Yahoo Store), Steve Yegge (from the trenches), Joel Spolsky (more windows-y, less technical), etc.), but esr probably fits this audience best. http://www.catb.org/~esr/ David
