Hi,
I have made use of this offer for several years in teaching GIS courses
at WSU. The only downside I run into is that since the students have a
copy of the software they sometimes think they don't need to attend
class. However, the benefits of this program outweigh this.

Subject: [UW-GIS-L] ESRI Software Promotion for GIS Students at
Institutionswith a Campus-Wide Site License

Hi,
I'm instructing a GIS course at UW Bothell and one of my students just
sent me this link regarding an "ESRI Software Promotion for GIS
Students at Institutions with a Campus-Wide Site License":
http://gis.esri.com/industries/education/promo/index.cfm

It appears ESRI will provide free 1 year student evaluation copies to
however many students I have in my class.
Are there any instructors out there who have tried out this promo? Any
words to the wise?

At UW Bothell we have a lot of part-time and commuter students for
whom working in the computer lab on campus is not a convenient option.
This may be a good solution for them.

Kevin
