Hello UW ArcGIS Users-

Each year on October 7th all of UW's ESRI ArcGIS Licenses expire. This
includes ArcGIS for Desktop <> , ArcGIS for Server <> , ArcSDE <> ,
ArcEngine, etc. If you use an ArcGIS product, then starting today you may
start seeing warnings about expiring ArcGIS licenses.

Typically we have new licenses by now but as of today we do not. If you use
ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcMap, ArcCatalog.) and are connected to one of the UW
ArcGIS License Servers you don't need to do anything. The licenses on the UW
ArcGIS License Servers will be upgraded and the Desktop software will
automatically grab a new license after October 7th.

If you have borrowed a license, run an ArcGIS Server or have a Single Use
License I will send out another email to this list or contact you directly
when we have updated licenses.

In the meantime, if those warnings are freaking you out, you can turn them
off using the AdvancedArcMapSettings application:

"C:\Program Files
(x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.{version}\Utilities\AdvancedArcMapSettings.exe"

On the Miscellaneous tab uncheck the box at the bottom of the form under
"License timeout warning"

*please note I am not in the office on Fridays.
