Hello, My name is TJ McElroy.
I am a blind student taking online courses at Franklin University, Columbus Ohio. I am taking a UNIX System Administration course and have tried many Linux talking versions. I have downloaded your UWIN and have received an installation error of: 256 I have received that same error on two of my home desktop systems that are both running Windows XP Pro with service pack 3 installed. I currently am using Job Access With Speech (Jaws) for Windows as my screen reading program. Although I received the error, your UWIN package seems to speak better than even the MSDOS windows. I am really interested in using your UWIN package and believe that it will make my UNIX System Administration course a lot easier. If you get the chance, please let me know of a way to install UWIN with out receiving the 256 error or if the 256 error will prohibit me from installing the other two packages. I have only installed the base package uwin-base.2007-11-05.win32.i386.exe and would like to install the other two packages: uwin-dev.2007-12-11.win32.i386.exe and uwin-perl-58.2005-11-04.win32.i386.exe but I would like to wait for a reply, to fix the 256 error before proceeding. Again I would like to say thank you for such a product and to mention how well UWIN speaks on my system.
