Hello,
I've tried to install uwin-dev.2009-05-07.win32.i386.exe, and it is stuck
here:
"
This program installs the UWIN 4.4 Development package.
UWIN 4.4 currently installed in /C/UWIN_beta.
Do you want to continue the installation? [yes]
/C/Documents and Settings/Administrator/Local Settings/Temp/SEA2.tmp/dev.pax in
pax format
1023 files, 27490 blocks
/usr/lib/msvcrt/msvcrt.lib not found -- cc(1) will compile against the
compiler specific /msdev/vc/lib/msvcrt.lib and this will produce
potentially non-portable executables that depend on
MSVCRnn.dll. Do you want to generate /usr/lib/msvcrt/msvcrt.lib
and produce executables that depend on /sys/msvcrt.dll
(this will do a free anonymous 31MiB download from MicroSoft
and may take a few minutes even on a fast connection)? [yes]
".
I pressed <Enter>, i.e. selected to download.
My Internet connection is 1.5Mbits per second, so it should really take
several minutes, not hours. I'm still waiting, maybe it'll complete.
Some progress indication would be nice - it comes for free with 'wget'
which is part of the package.
Thanks,
Sergei.
