Just so you know, the following (rather evasive error) appears, whenever there is a bad file permission:
open(): Permission denied [utils.c line 158] In this case, the 'stdout_logfile' file was not writeable. This error could do with being a tad more descriptive, as it took me about 10 mins to figure out why it was happening. May I suggest this error message is changed so it shows what file it could not open, and what directive the path came from? Cal
